In April 1996, Southern Four Wheel Drive Association received the prestigious
United States Forest Service
Chief's Volunteer Program National Award
Jack Ward Thomas, the Chief of the United States Forest Service, presented this National Award to Southern Four Wheel Drive Association "in appreciation for exemplary service and efforts as a Sponsored Forest Service Volunteer."
