Southern HomeSEMA Spring Expo

Report by Stefan Roth

For 2007, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Spring Expo headed to Atlanta, Georgia on March 23 - 24. While this show does not come close to comparing in size to the SEMA show in Las Vegas, it nevertheless filled up the exposition hall at the Cobb Galleria Center northwest of Atlanta.

The show was for the trade only (not open to public). The emphasis is on helping the performance, specialty, and accessory industry to build their business. This includes everything from connection businesses to each other to analyzing markets and projecting future trends.

SEMA is also very involved in legislative issues that affect vehicle after-market modifications (i.e., bumper height, suspension lifts, etc).

Several hundred manufacturers and vendors filled up the exhibit booths to market their products to shops and commercial buyers.
