New North Carolina ATV Laws

For Your Information:

The State of North Carolina has new laws covering ATV use. They become effective December 1, 2005.

There are now helmet and goggle requirements, training requirements, age restrictions (based on engine size), and alcohol restrictions.

These are state laws (i.e., they apply everywhere in North Carolina). The laws will also be enforced by the Forest Service in National Forests (Tellico/Nantahala, Uwharrie, etc).
