Tellico River Road Campground Update

Keith Lannom, Tellico District Ranger in the Cherokee National Forest, reports:

We opened #7 (Holder Cove) last week and people are using it already. It's not 100% complete. It needs another layer of chat in the campgrounds, picnic tables, lantern posts, and the vault toilet. The tables, posts, and toilet have been ordered and will be installed as they are delivered.

The contractor added 2 sites to Davis Branch already. He is moving to #8 (Rough Ridge) on Tuesday. We'll make sure it is available for 4th of July. It may not be complete but it will open.
