United 2000 logoThe annual United Convention for 2000 took place at Sweetwater, TN on July 21 and 22. The event was hosted by Southern 4WD Association. The convention consists of two days of business meetings and social events for the United officers and the state and regional association delegates and visitors. The delegates (two from each member association) are the governing body of United and give direction on budget, goals, and policy to the United officers. The United officers handle the operation of United on a day-to-day basis.

Traditionally, attendees from the convention and many other visitors get together after the convention for informal trail rides. This was again the case this year as the 4-wheeling enthusiasts headed over to Upper Tellico OHV Area for some hard core trail riding! The Tellico area trails are maintained on a regular basis by members of Southern 4WD Association.

Unfornately, most of the pictures of the happenings, speeches, and awards at the meetings did not turn out because the room was too dark and the flash did not work well. Here are the few that did turn out well.
