Dixie Run 28 Follow-Up

  1. Overview comments by Greg Griffith. Positive feedback.

  2. A follow-up Manufacturer’s survey will be out shortly for responses prior to SEMA.

  3. A DR28 final survey will be out for participants to provide event feedback and ideas for improvements in 2015.

  4. Brian Overly plans to coordinate additional trail maintenance work with GMP in early 2015.

  5. Final attendance – 269 Registrations, 532 Participants

  6. Reviewed current year event financials and 10 year historical trends.

 

 

SFWDA Membership 2015

  1. Update on Membee integration and timelines for club coordination for 2015 renewals. Lucas Weidner is targeting November 10-14 for Membee to be live and ready.

  2. Plan is to use our newest clubs, Rock Corps 4x4 and Ugly Off Road, as prototypes for Membee integration.

  3. Highlighted target new clubs for 2015 including Chattanooga Off Road Enthusiasts, Georgia Trail Riders, Jeep Masters of Augusta, Jeeps and Wrenches, Rocket City Rock Crawlers, Carolina Wheelers and several other regional clubs. Additional discussions underway with Keystone Off Road Club, Wicked Jeeps and Ocala Jeep Club.

 

JJUSA Update for 2015

  1. Flint Holbrook to follow-up with JJUSA regarding 2015 plans.

 

SFWDA Grant Update

  1. Updated status of YouTube project with Dave Logan and Jake White.

  2. Narration work to begin shortly.

  3. Target introduction – December 2014.

 

Public Relations Update

  1. Jon Plaza updated new business partners and SFWDA member discounts

  2. Received new Tread Lightly posters with SFWDA logo. Available for distribution to clubs.

  3. “Members has Benefits” will be updated shortly.

 

 

Land Use Updates

  1. Coalmont – Roger Theurer reports that Coalmont has received an Adventure Tourism District designation. Currently no land deal is available.

  2. Daniel Boone National Forest – Flint Holbrook will invite Jeffrey Dozier to December 6 meeting for updates.

  3. Beasley Knob – Reported from October visit with Kevin Sutz and Curtis Barnhart, GBR. Flint Holbrook will invite Jeffrey Dozier to December 6 meeting for updates.

  4. Uwharrie National Forest - Flint Holbrook will invite Jeffrey Dozier to December 6 meeting for updates.

 

Off-Road Business Association, Inc.

  1. Initial discussion regarding ORBA.

  2. 501c6 Non-Profit Trade Association

  3. Proactive on land use policies.

  4. Attempts to develop a coordinated response to land use issues.

  5. Add to Annual Meeting agenda for further discussion, investigation and/or engagement.
