It's time....
Our Trail Ride schedule is now complete. We have something for everyone. Guided rides for Easy-Moderate to Advanced drivers as well as scenic excursion rides to some beautiful waterfall rich state parks. Full details are listed on our website, and online registration for each ride will be posted this week. If you're interested in joining a group of equally capable rigs to make the most of your weekend then stay tuned for the follow up post with online registration. Join the Southern Four Wheel Drive Association for the 30th edition of the premier Southeastern U.S. trail riding event at Golden Mountain Park, September 22-25, 2016 and support Dixie Run 2016.
Dixie Run is one of two core events for SFWDA each year and this year's event will be the 30th and likely the best yet.

Our event schedule will include guided Excursion rides on Friday afternoon and Saturday to some beautiful scenic local vistas; scheduled trail rides at Golden Mountain Park and Ladies Only rides for all size vehicles. Free riding throughout the weekend on all trail as well.
Dixie Run 2016 will also include a Kids play area and other family friendly activities including a Saturday afternoon of fun for the kids.
All pricing includes access to the trails at Golden Mountain Park, a Saturday night dinner, and camping on site for 3 nights. SFWDA and our supporting Business Partners will be supporting a raffle on Saturday evening.

I wanted to share just a few reminders and details for everyone to digest before arriving this weekend.
Registration has now concluded online. Onsite registration will be open at the entrance to the park on Thursday between 4-7pm, Friday 7-7, and Saturday 7-11am. If you didn't book online then we will see you at the gate. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
Upon arrival there will be a brief tech inspection on all trail rigs. Then you will proceed to the "Registration" or "Pre-Registered" line with your vehicle and we will mark you each off the list and pass out event bags. Then at any point through the weekend you can proceed to the hill top and the main pavilion to retrieve any pre-purchased goods or early registrant merchandise. Be sure to also check out all of our new SFWDA merchandise. Vendors will be setting up on Thursday still but food vendors will be present to keep everyone fully charged.

Tech Inspection & What to Bring
When arriving at Dixie Run please arrive prepared with basic suggested safety equipment. There will be a basic tech inspection at the gate upon arrival to the park. Be sure each vehicle that will be on the trials has at least the following; safety belts, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and a battery tied down. Other suggested equipment include tow points, winch, cb radio, and a trail map.

Trail Riding
All trails at the park will be open during the event and we will be hosting guided trail rides throughout the weekend. Registration for each trail ride is required and is included with your admission. Sign-ups will be by the Main Pavilion at the Merchandise tent.
